A moment to breathe… that’s really all I have needed lately. And I have to say how excited I am that moment is finally here. I told you last week how rough it had been over the past few days, but things are definitely turning around.
My puppy Rylie is feeling much better. We had to put her on some meds, which I don’t really like, but they seem to be making a difference. It’s really good to see her back to her old self.
I found out that I got an ‘A’ in my first grad school class, which gave me that little boost of confidence to realize that I can actually do this whole masters degree thing!
I had to chance to hang out with 4 out of my 5 bridesmaids (only leaving out my big sissy who I will see this week) which was so refreshing. These are some of my bestest friends and I hate that so often life gets in the way and you don’t get to spend as much time as you’d like with the people who mean the most to you.

And this past weekend was filled with final Christmas present purchases and wrapping (none too soon, considering that Christmas Eve is tomorrow!), a pre-Christmas event with Jarrod’s family since his brother is traveling this week, a party with all of my new colleagues at work, church with my family and then a little baking with my mom to put together some treats for my family. We finished it out with an amazing dinner at one of the best steakhouses around, which just happens to be the place Jarrod asked me to marry him.
I began to forget all of the struggles from last week and enjoy all of the wonderfulness that comes along with this holiday season. And I am looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my family over the next couple of days. All is bright once again.
Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Your picture looks like a Norman Rockwell photo. Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas to you, Jarrod and Riley who I am glad is feeling better!
