Time is not on my side

Today has kicked my butt. I have not stopped moving since 6:00 this morning until now. And even now, I really don’t have time to sit down and write a blog post, but I know that writing on here is something that can easy get pushed to the bottom of the priority list, and that’s not what I want.
Ever since the beginning of last week, things have been non-stop. A lot of it has to do with starting back to school and everything involved in that. My schedule also recently changed at work to where I have to work the late shift one night a week, which means not getting off until 8:00. Between that and my class, I automatically have two nights a week that I won’t be home for dinner.
calendar busy schedule to do stephanie hughes stolen colon crohn's ostomy colitis blog ileostomy I already have plans every single night this week and I’m not so sure that it shows any signs of letting up soon. I enjoy being busy, but I also don’t want things that are important to me to suffer. I know it is going to take some dedication and good time management to make sure that I stay on top of everything and not get burned out. The biggest issue is that I did not see this coming. I didn’t realize quite how busy I was going to get so quickly and I didn’t put enough planning into it. I could use some time to just figure things out and make a plan. I’d like to have the time to think about where I’m going with The Stolen Colon over the next few weeks, what I am planning on doing about dinner and how I am going to stay on top of house work. But for now, I’m just going to have to wing it.

Being a part of this online community is still one of the most important things to me, so I am going to do all that I can to keep it at the top of my priority list and not let being busy get in the way of it. I’ve heard before that time is our most valuable asset and I have never believed it more. If there was any way I could get some more of it, I definitely would. But for now, I am officially out of time. Gotta run!

I’m glad for that, Tony. I know that I’m going to have to be better at that or else I can see me getting overwhelmed quickly!
